The Version 4 Acrobat Reader sometimes has a Web Browser Integration issue, i.e. The web browser doesn't recognise that Acrobat Reader is meant to be used to view pdf type documents. The error, "Error Locating Object Handler - There is no viewer available for the type of object you are trying to open. The following information is available about the object: Address of object: http:// etc. etc. Content Type: application/pdf Possible location of viewer: Microsoft ActiveX Gallery Do you want to go to this location to download a viewer for this type of object?" (Figure 1).

To solve this problem you must go into Acrobat Reader application (Figure 2).

From the main menu select the "File" option, select the "Preferences" option, then select the "General" option (Figure 3).

Uncheck the "Web Browser Integration" box (Figure 4).
