| Business Success is Worth Bottling
Bottles are Andrew Wilkinson’s stock in trade, from the tiny shampoo bottles supplied in hotel bathrooms to large chemical containers. Andrew established his company, Bottleprint, in 1986 with a plan to specialise in screen printing on bottles. However, as often happens with successful businesses, once Bottleprint was established in that market niche a wider opportunity became apparent. "People started coming to us when they were having trouble getting hold of particular types of bottles so we started sourcing and wholesaling plastic bottles, and now the printed bottles only account for 10% of our business", said Andrew. Based in Brisbane, Bottleprint supplies a range of customers in Queensland, northern NSW and the Northern Territory. Bottleprint has been a client of Scottish Pacific Business Finance’s factoring division since early 1989. "When we first got involved with Scottish Pacific, we were growing fast but the money was coming in slowly, so we had to look for finance to let us keep growing", said Andrew. "We chose factoring because it was relatively easy to set up, didn’t require much security and would grow with us. "But today, one of the main benefits of factoring for our business is having someone else to chase the money for us", said Andrew. ![]() |
