We’ve always known that SME owners work long hours and our Open Account e-commerce system has now proven it. Open Account keeps a record every time a client logs in to check on their accounts or draw down funds, and our Open Account records show that some clients are literally burning the midnight oil. “A lot of clients log into the Open Account system late at night or on weekends. That’s gratifying because 24-hour access was one of our aims when we developed the system,” said Scottish Pacific managing director, Clive Isenberg. “After many years of working with SMEs, we were aware that our clients work long hours in the factory or the office, and end up taking the books home in the evening or on the weekend. “So we designed a system that gives them access to their accounts at any time of the day or night,” said Clive. One of our other objectives in developing Open Account was to control administration costs by reducing the need for hard-copy daily reports or for staff to check details in answer to client queries.
